Fourth of July

Fourth of July 2009
I thought I would finally post some Fourth of July pictures before the next 4th happened. I have not been doing the best at keeping my blog updated.
We joined the Purser family on the MTC lawn to watch fire works.
This is darling Chantel aka "Chicky" Charlie and her were so cute together. They are the same age!
Resting after the big pic nick dinner. We brought the best food.
Fire Works at home!
Robert is the master at putting on a fire work show!

We invited our friends and the neighbor kids! I had festive bomb pops and the kids were eating them quicker then I could get them passed out!

Spider Man even made an appearance!
Lucas and Bolt

Teh Hobson's

A mission reunion with President and Sister Hobson!

I absolutely had a fit over Sister Hobson's front porch creatively decorated for July!

Charlie spent most of the time playing at the park just down a bit from the Hobson's home. He got wet at the drinking fountain so adorable Sister Hobson put one of her shirts on him!
President Hobson playing Marble Maze on Robert's iPhone! Classic picture!
Robert putting his electronic skills to good use and helping Sister Hobson!
Memorabilia from Cabo Verde Africa
A Picture of my district in Praia. I am sitting in the front row on the end to the right
The saga continues with Charlie getting drenched and so Sister Hobson graciously suggested we put him in the bath tub before going home so he would not get chilled!

I love the Hobson's with all my heart and am so grateful to have served with them in the Cabo Verde mission. They have blessed and enriched my life. I am forever grateful to them for all they taught me. They are the most incredible and compassionate people you will ever meet. Practically like parents. I love you President and Sister Hobson!
Thank you for having the mission reunion; it was so good to see you and the Elders and Sisters from the mission!
The Oquirrh Mountain Temple is just two blocks from their home! Breath taking view.

Charlie fell asleep on the way home. I love when he folds his hands as though he were in prayer. The entire evening we were at the Hobson's he kept referring to the Hobson's home as Joseph Smith's house. I am not sure were this came from; but I am certain it is a compliment!

Weekend Warriors!

Utah Arts Festival

What is a trip to Salt Lake without a stop at the Crown Burger. This is a Boulter tradition!

We parked our car in Jordan and hoped on the Trax that took us right down town Salt Lake. Charlie had a blast ridding the train.

At the Art Festival there was a whole area dedicated to children. Charlie got to go from one both to the next doing fun little art projects!
Here we are making a butterfly with coffee filters and painting the wings with water colors!
An area for the kids to all play together. It was so nice there were big shade trees and a fence that they put up all around the kids area. So Robert and I just relaxed and Charlie was excited to play with all the kids!

The Festival was held on the beautiful court house grounds. There was all sorts of live entertainment, incredible food, and a lot of booths selling expensive art! I found it interesting that predominately the vendors selling art were from Oregon! I guess we Oregonians are a creative bunch!

Bright colors and a little backpack with a leash helped us keep track of our little busy bee! Daddy had a camel pack that was blue and so Charlie was thrilled to have a bag that looked like what Daddy had!

On our way home after a wonderful day enjoying the arts!

New Car!!!

New Car!

This is our new car.......he he he just joking!
Bret the guy who sold us our car
Our own oasis amongst the crazy car dealership.

Drum roll please...........the new car; a Toyota Venza 2009 in Golden Umber!!!!

This was the scene as we left the car dealership, with the new car! A gorgeous rainbow that stretched across the sky!
The Honda Fit telling the Venza what to expect with her new family!

I got to drive her home. Robert is such a sweetheart for agreeing to this. He takes my Honda to work now and says that I get to drive the Venza! He has been 100% true to his word.
We are thrilled with the V6 and have fun taking the car on the freeway to test out the engine. This is my dream car. I have always wanted a Lexus RX; mater of fact I like our Venza better. I don't need no stinking Lexus! lol
