Thank you Nicole, Tom, and the M&M's

Pineapple on a stick

The other day my cousin Nicole called from Hawaii. That is where she and her family are living right now. Lucky!! Anyways, Nicole asked Jessica if there was anything she could do for her. Jessica's response, was for Nicole to sit in an infinity pool over looking the ocean and eat pineapple on a stick. We all thought the request was so cute and funny. Well Nicole the clever and thoughtful girl that she is, had the best idea. She sent Jessica an edible arrangement, with what else but pineapple on a stick.
Thank you so much Nicole for the delicious and thoughtful surprise. The best way to describe the gift........ perfect! We love you all so much and miss you bunches. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed receiving the gift!

This picture is just for Aunt Hillary. Charlie loves to call his Aunt and talk to her on the phone. One of the things they enjoy doing is playing the I love you game. They both say: I love you, I love you, I love you in all sorts of different tones of their voices. It is so cute. Love you Aunt Hilly!

Breath Taking

I took these pictures after a rain storm. I love the mountains in Utah! When I look at the snow capped mountains , I think of DQ soft serve...lickable goodness! We have had such a beautiful spring and it is so green. I feel as though we are in Ireland with the rolling green hills. We are so fortunate to live in such a gorgeous and diverse area.

wii

Robert is the proud owner of a wii. I have been hesitant about getting a wii. I am not into games no matter what size, shape or form. Robert hopes the wii will change my opinion of games. He picked out the wii for his birthday. I believe I have created a wii monster, he loves playing and is on a quest to get Mariokart. However in Utah anything wii related is hard to find. He called a number of stores looking for the wii, finally he found that Toys R Us and one in stock.

I have to admit my favorite thing to do is create mii people. I have not played enough to determine if I love the wii yet.

Charlie and Friends

David, Hailey, Sunny, Jacie, and Charlie

This is Hailey.

Charlie has made friends in our neighborhood. He loves playing with friends, especially Hailey. I find that when we come home from my Mom's, I spend most of the time watching Charlie as he plays with friends. It has been wonderful for him, especially with all that is going on.

Becca came to visit

It has been so nice having my cousin Becca visiting. She has kept us all smiling, not to mention the fabulous back and neck massages! I told her that I am adopting her. Much to her shergrin, Charlie calls Becca, Bubba.

Charlie tries out lipstick

The other day I was busy cleaning the house and I noticed that it was quiet. Now around here it is unusual for Charlie to be quiet, unless he is doing something that he should not be doing. Well this is what I found him up to. The funny thing is he actually did a good job putting the lipstick on and he did not get it anywhere else except on his lips.

Dad's Visit

It was so wonderful to have Dad visit. We are grateful for this opportunity. I have to admit his leaving was a bitter sweet moment. Sweet because he got to spend time with Jessica. Bitter because we do not know how long Jessica will be with us and wondering if this will be the last time Dad gets to see her.
I am so grateful for the knowledge that families are forever and that our loved ones that pass away are still with us.

Daisy Mae

Pretty Little Daisy Mae

This is my Mom's new puppy, Daisy Mae. She is Chihuahua and a 1/4 Pomeranian. She deffinately takes after her mom in looks. Her three brothers had long hair and looked like their dad.
We love her, she is sweetest little girl. Charlie feels like he has to be feeding her constantly and thanks to him she has been introduced to human food. She follows him around where ever he goes, in anticipation of the next snack he will sneak her. However we told him that is makes her sick to eat people food so now he goes and gets her dog food and feeds her a piece at a time.
My mom is going to breed her in a year and a half and I have been promised a puppy. I am so excited!

Bed Bug

Robert and I are trying to get Charlie to sleep in his own bed, which he has not been doing. The funny thing is he will sleep in our bed by himself, so Robert and I have been sleeping in the guest bedroom. Soon this will all be changed, I am just taking small steps.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful Mother's day! My husband and brother made a delicious meal and dessert. Not only that but they did all the dishes, so the girls got to relax and enjoy the special day.
The best surprise was that my Dad came to visit. I did not know anything about him coming. When Robert and I got back from church my brother meet us at the door and said he was on his way to the airport to pick up Dad.
I am so grateful my Dad is here so he can spend time with Jessica. I thank my Aunt Shirley with all my heart for arranging this for my father. He is a very busy man with the cattle ranch and putting in the alfalfa. So I am so thankful that he is able to be here at this time.

The men relaxing after cooking dinner and doing the dishes. I think they look like they have had it.

Robert's Birthday Party!

Goodmorning everyone,

What a beautiful Saturday! I just wanted to share the pictures from Robert's birthday. We all had such a fun time. The best compliment of all is that he said the pinneapple cream cheese pie I made him tasted just like his Mom's.

Family Quotes

Blessed is the home where each puts the other's happiness first.

Home is where you can be silent and still be heard. Where you can ask and find out who you are. Where people laugh with you about your self. Where sorrow is divided and joys multiplied. Where we share in love and grow.

A happy family is but an earlier heaven.

The laughter of a child is the light of a home.

Time with those one loves, is life's greatest gift.

To a Child, Love is Spelled "T-I-M-E".

Sisters are joined heart to heart.

I came across some beautiful quotes and wanted to share them on our family blog. I hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I did.

Happy Birthday Robert!

It is my darling sweetheart's birthday! He turned 28 on the 8th of May, 2008. I love how everything consists of eights. For all those that live near by, I will be having cake and presents at my Mom's home this evening at 7:30. We will also be going to his favorite restaurant prior, so if anyone wants to join us let me know.
Robert Bruce Boulter was born in Provo Utah at Utah Valley Regional May 8th 1980, to the proud parents of Liz and Bruce Boulter. He is the oldest of four siblings. His family now resides in beautiful Camarillo California. How we wish we were with them today to celebrate Robert's birthday. I will be making the cake his mother has made him every year for his birthday. I just talked to Liz and she is going to walk me trough the cake making process. It is a pineapple cream cheese pie! I hope it turns out good, cross my fingers!

Sun Dogs

Today's weather was enjoyable, a refreshing spring rain storm! Not just rain but lightening and thunder. I love a good rain storm, there is nothing quite like the storms in Utah.

I was at my Mom's home. She lives in a very quaint and cozy condo. The best part is that she is on the third floor and there are lovely large picturesque windows. We opened the blinds and windows and watched and listened to the rain. It felt as though we were up in a big tree, cozy in our nest. As it rained the birds outside were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Dipping and diving between the rain drops. After the storm the robins and swallows all began a beautiful chorus of chirping and singing.

About the title of this entry. On Friday evening we were watching KSL our local news channel and they were talking about sun dogs. I had never heard of such a thing before. Sundogs form when there are ice crystals in the sky shaped like little hexagons, or as the weather guys call, hexagonal plates. These plates line up in such a manner that sunlight is bent as it enters the crystals. We then see some interesting colors in the sky. Sundogs can look pinkish or orange or sometimes you can see all the colors in the prism in the sundog if it's really good. It also depends on where you are standing and what else is in the air (like dust). The Native Americans beleived that it would rain within 5 days from this event happening. Not only rain but with a 90% accuracy. Well this way of perdicting the weather is accurate, what did it do today....RAIN!!!

Update on Jessie

Hi everyone out there in the blogging world,
Well when I last wrote I had my husband, my brother, and my son watching me enter my first post and I have to admit I got stage fright. I was not able to think and so if the entry was funny sounding or short that is why.
This evening we are over at my Mom's house watching the Grand Old Opry. We are very country at heart. Growing up on a ranch will do that to you. Much to Robert's chagrin, he does not like country music and if we are in the car together he won't listen to it on the radio. Carrie Underwood will be inducted into the Hall of Fame May 10th to all you Country Western fans out there!
I wanted to give an update on my sister's condition. Last Friday she was told that there was nothing more they could do as far as chemo and radiation. She is now at home and Hospice is coming to attend to her. Right now the goal is to make her comfortable and hopefully not to be in so much pain. My sister is the ultimate example of patience, long suffering, and courage. She is amazing, I LOVE HER DEARLY. I pray with all my heart she does not have to suffer and that she may be released from this earthly trial . She has endured more that I can even begin to imagine; and through the whole thing she has not once complained. There is no one in the world like my sweet Jessica! She is my best friend. My sister, brother, and I have always been like three peas in a pod.
Charlie sure loves his Aunt Jessica. He is so sweet to her. He softly pats her face and tells her how much he loves her and gives lots of hugs and kisses. When she gets out of her hospital bed he is the first to find her slippers and puts them on her feet. Both Jessie and Charlie have the sweetest spirits. Charlie is our happy spot and makes this whole situation better with his presence.
Goodnight all I am signing off. We hope to hear from you all soon.

Lissy's Birthday

Hello Family and Friends,
One of the gifts I received for my birthday is to have my sweet husband help me set up a blog. On my own this would never happen, so I give all the credit to him. Of course I guess he did the technical part and I got to be the so called interior designer of the blog.
We are way excited to have a family blog and thanks to the wonderful example of my Aunt Kellie, I too have received the blog bug! Thank you Kellie!
I hope to have fun pictures because that is my most favorite thing. I love to see pictures of family and friends. I also promise to write.

I thought this was an adorable picture. This is Charlie's second cousin Maxwell. My family came from Oregon to visit at the end of March. Maxwell and Charlie became good friends.
