Steven’s Birthday!

Steven’s birthday was on November 10th!  We celebrated in style by preparing a delicious birthday meal and cake!

We asked Steven what he wanted for his birthday dinner so here it is……

We made Cob Salads with home made blue cheese dressing, skillet cornbread/home made honey butter, fluffy potato salad, and BBQ pork spare ribs!

Mums the word!

Chrysanthemums, often called mums or chrysanths, are of the genus (Chrysanthemum) constituting approximately 30 species of perennial flowering plants in the family Asteraceae which is native to Asia and northeastern Europe.

This fall the mums that I planted put on quite a show!

Today we took a huge bouquet to Jessie’s grave!  It was so beautiful.  

I love all the varieties!  The pink ones below are one of my favorites! 

I have just loved having these colorful beauties in the back yard!  There have been so many occasions where these flowers have been arranged into a vase and brightened someone’s day!

Reading!

Charlie is reading and doing such a fantastic job!  I enjoy seeing his amazing progress. 

  He is so intelligent! 

This was from last month and he has sense passed off 12 books!  Here he is with his award and the prize he choose. 

  In order to pass a book off  you have to pronounce all the new sounds and words correctly.  You also need to read the whole book without mistakes!  It is a major accomplishment!

I am so proud of Charlie!!!

Pampered Pup!

I am so thrilled that the dog we fell in love with at the Humane Society can become a wooly sheep in a month!  His fur grows like nothing I have ever seen before!

  I keep forgetting to take a before picture but to give you an idea of what he transforms into……

Our very awesome Veterinarian, Dr. Yoeny Calas-Dobson DVM!  She rocks! 

  She was showing Charlie the baby kitten that was running around the office.  The kittens name is Jay Jay; what a little ball of energy.

Maxwell all groomed!  He is too adorable.  I love how every time he is groomed he can have completely different looks.  So far this is my favorite!

Right before it was time to go trick or treating there was a torrential rain storm.  It was so depressing; we thought that there would be no lull in the storm.  Alas it stopped and the kids came a’ knocking!  Trick or Treat!

  Utah is famous for having the worst weather possible the night of Halloween!
