Charlie’s first day of Kindergarten!

My baby is in kindergarten and I am left wondering where does the time go!  Next thing I know he will be leaving on his mission and them going to college!

Both Robert and I took him to school.  He quickly made friends and then told us that we could go home now.  No tears, he was ready to leave the nest so to say!

This is Charlie’s adorable teacher!

Grandma and I wanted to get Charlie a gift for being such a big boy on his first day of school.  He collects the angry birds and pigs!

Camping with Lynn and Ben!

We went to Wasatch State Park for five days, camping!  It was so much fun, especially because Lynn and Ben joined us.

We wanted to get one last trip in before school started for the boys.

There were summer thunderstorms all while we where there.  This is what the sky looked like when we were sitting around the campfire.  It was something to witness!

Exploring!  We hiked quite a ways up the creek.

In fact while we were exploring and hiking in the creek for an hour my camera unbeknown to me had fallen out of my pocket and feel into the creek.

Charlie luckily found my camera back at his dam he built.  It was still on and was completely submerged.  As Charlie handed it to me the little orange light slowly flickered off and it gave up the ghost.

Well to say the least I was so upset because I thought I had killed my camera for good.

Not so a couple weeks drying out and a new battery pack my camera is as good new!  Cannon Cameras are the best!

My camera is like a good friend, I take it every where I go!

I have taken so many pictures with my trusty little camera, I am so glad it still works.

We made boats and had races!

Refreshing

We all went on a hike together on a trail near the creek.  It was the strangest thing, we did not feel like we had been hiking that long but somehow we got very far from camp.  We ended up cutting through the forest and finding a road to return back to camp on!

Lynn teaching the boys how important it is to leave your footprint with the Forest Ranger before leaving on a hike.

For those familiar with Cub Scouts this will look familiar.  You use tinfoil and put it on top of a towel and then step on the tinfoil to make an imprint of the sole of your shoe.

Then if you get lost they can use that imprint to find your footprint!

LOL we did this after our crazy hike that took us way up the mountain without us knowing.  Well they will know for next time!

Reading Junnie B. Jones!  This is such a found memory!

Thanksgiving Point with Daddy

Normally I am taking Charlie and going with cousins or friends.

It was wonderful for a change to have Robert with us!

We started out at the new exhibit called the Notion of Motion.  It is very informative and interactive.

Generating electricity by pedaling!  There should be a set up like this in everyone’s house.  Pedal to watch t.v., pedal to use the computer.  Man we would be in shape quick!
