Mom’s birthday!

I don’t mean to be so far behind in my blog entries! 

With a baby I am surprised at just how much time flies. 

Steven and I surprised Mom with a birthday dinner.  We prepared it at his house and invited family over.

Birthday Menu:

Homemade clam chowder and chicken noodle soup.

Homemade rolls

Baked halibut (the way Katie’s mom makes it; so good)

Baked acorn squash

Lynn brought a green salad (thank you)

Black forest cake

Homemade Carmel corn

 

Lets just say cooking in this kitchen was a feat in it’s self!  Tiny stove and sink….but we did it; while learning what his kitchen was lacking in cooking supplies.

Katie made this wreath to put on Jessie’s grave but mom loved it too much to put outside!

Big brother comes to Bentley’s aid!  Sometimes those pacifiers  “binkies” can get heavy.

Paper Chain

Steven and Katie are so adorable!  They made a paper chain to count down the days until they would be married in the Rexburg Idaho Temple!

They look so happy and perfect together!

Steven makes a promise ring

My brother proposed to his sweetheart, Katie Hepworth!  She said YES!

  In her family it is a tradition that the guys make a promise ring to be given when they propose.  Or maybe it is a Rexburg thing???

  Steven spent a day looking for all the supplies he needed and then he hand made her a promise ring!

The process begins……

Steven on the phone with Katie….trying to be discreet. 

Katie:  “What are you up to?”

Steven:  “Not much”……(just making the ring I am going to give you when I propose!)
