Bear love

Morning Doves are very special in our family. I could feel Jessica so strong, and here is a sign! Bamboo jungle cats

The little guy got tired with all the fun of the day. He saw the bench and said I want a nap!

Dinosaur Museum
Put your left foot in put your left foot out and shake it all about.....

Scary!!!!!
Nice glasses. We went to a 3D Dinosaur movie at the I MAXJames Christensen the famous Artist is making the cutest little Holiday Films. This is a set from "Black Bats and Scardy Cats" I had to get the movie because I LOVE Halloween!

Farm Country

Giddy up HorseyGOBBLE GOBBLE

On Saturday we went to Thanksgiving Point as a family; we had a blast!!! Robert's company had a summer party at Thanksgiving Point with a carnival, BBQ, live entertainment, and a fire work show. They also gave all the employees passes to go to all the different places at Thanksgiving. Charlie and I were still in Oregon at the time so we did not get to go to the party; but the passes were good for a week. Hence, Saturday being family activity day. I think Charlie enjoyed the Kid's Discovery Park the best, but then again the Dinosaur Museum was way fun.

The Dinger Family and Sumpter

Lots o' activities

Thank you Aunt Shirley for preparing such a lovely meal. I love your home it is the epitome of the saying: " it just feels like home!"

Fong's Chinese Restaurant

A trip to Baker is not complete without going to Fong's. It is a Chinese restaurant that is an institution. The decor alone is so funny. I remember as a child I was enamored with the Chinese chandlers and the pictures made with seashells

Sumpter Oregon
This contraption known as the Sumpter Dredge is what was used 100 years ago to mine for gold. It completely left the surrounding area turned upside down.

Mom and Charlie standing by the big iron buckets of the Sumpter Dredge

In the Mountains

Mom vandalised the picnic table. She wanted to carve Jessica's name.

Charlie giving me a great big kiss!

Just a picture of beautiful Becca
Becca and I are enjoying ice cream at Charley's Ice Cream Parlor. We had just gone shopping on Main Street and Becca found a bunch of sunglasses from the seventies at a consignment shop. After Ice cream we went and saw Momma Mia, such a cute movie. We loved it!

Man oh man I have too many pictures. I guess I could just post them on the side as a slide show. Anyhow here are some cute pictures of Aunt Shirley, Charlie and Becca. My Aunt Shirley is a wonderful cook and invited us out for a big breakfast. Shirley gets up at six in the morning to cook the men breakfast before they go to work. Steven who is spending the summer there haying is enjoying this. Poor kid when he comes here I give him cold cereal.
The next group of pictures is our visit to Sumpter and the Sumpter Dredge. We actually wanted to ride the Sumpter Train but it is closed during the week days and open on the weekends. Oh well we had a fun time none the less. Spontaneity took us to Maculley Fork and we built a fire and roasted hot dogs and marsh mellows. We sure could feel Jessica with us, she loved doing stuff like that.

I'm going to the country and I'm going to pick me a bunch of cherries

HEAVEN on EARTH

Eli Kerns and Charlie became best friends. Actually Charlie followed Eli everywhere and would not leave his side. Eli is such a sweet heart and put up with it!

Eli and Aunt Marjorie Kerns

We had the awesome opportunity to visit my Mom's Uncle and Aunt Kerns. Why do I say awesome, well we got to pick buckets of cherries because the fruit trees had an absolute abundance of fruit. I have never seen so many cherries before in their orchard; it must be a good year for fruit!
Uncle Jim let us get in the front end loader of his tractor and he lifted us up into the tree tops so we could pick the best cherries of all the ones that were huge and sun ripened! Yummy I love fresh cherries.
We had a very enjoyable time. I love visiting them. They live by the Blue Mountains on a farm that is like Heaven. Anyone that has an acre of raspberries plus fruit orchards is definitely in heaven!

I'm from the country and I like it that way!

The Perkins Ranch

Charlie in what we like to call Grandma's cowboy truck!

Dad in the tractor moving bales. This is hay they harvested from the meadows.
My handsome Daddy! Farm Boy
We brought cold drinks and treats out to the hard working men. The look on my Dad's face is hilarious. I guess the lemon ice tea was sour! It is a very good cutting
Steven let me take his cruiser through the fields to deliver a drink to Dad. It was so fun and now I want one of these bad boys. Hey Steven when you are done restoring this one will you get me one? :)
Just posing for a picture. I look good in this cruiser!:)

Hello everyone! You probably thought we were missing in Oregon or something. We are finally home after a two week vacation. We all had a marvelous time, but are very glad to be back home. Every night in a hotel gets old! I was so ready to see my sweetheart, boy did I miss him!
Well sense I have bunches of pictures to share I will just be posting them trough out the week. I think I would be here forever if I tried to do one blog entry with 364 pictures; not that I will subject anyone to that!
I had such grand hopes to do blog entries on the trip but with a very slow inter-net connection and wanting to go play instead it did not happen. I am so sorry to leave you all hanging. :) I promise to make up for it!
Here are some pictures of us out on the ranch . My only regret is for the second summer in a row I have not taken pictures of Charlie riding in the tractors. The first day we arrived they were just finishing haying the meadows and then they were done. So all the tractors were brought to the barn lot to receive maintenance and we did not get a chance to go back to the fields and take pictures. One of these days I will get a picture of Charlie with Grandpa in the tractor! I guess I will just have to make another trip to Baker soon!:) Only if Robert came with me!
