Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

The St. Patrick's Day Traditional feast!

My Mom has always celebrated St. Patrick's day! We have a party and make traditional Irish food! So this year we did not let the Irish down!
Yummy Corned beef, potatoes (Golden Yukon), carrots and cabbage! We also have all the fixings to make Ruben sandwiches!

Shar made Soda Bread and it was excellent! The dandy lion honey she brought bake from Germany was surprisingly good! Thank you Shar!

Pardon me but do you happen to have any Grey Poupon?

Sarah making a Leprechaun out of shamrock confetti!

Liz and Shar; love these ladies!

Charlie is so in love with Sarah! He was glued to her all evening long and gave her a big kiss as she was leaving!

the look you have when the love of your life has to go home!

Charlie at play

Blocks and home made Play Dough
One of Charlie's favorite things to do is play with his Mega Blocks! My cousin Nicole gave these to Charlie and they have been such a joy for Charlie!Temple Time

A great way to hold a block when your hands are full!

I love this little guys smile!

Ok I had to put this picture in because he does the same thing I do when I am concentrating on a project! Sticking your tongue out induces better creativity!
Play Dough
I made play dough the other day. I was asked to sub for Sunbeams and so I came with a whole arsenal of projects to keep my 7 little Sunbeams busy and learning! This is a forth of what I made. Next time I won't make the full recipe. I have too much dough and not the one I would like! :)
If anyone would like the recipe, let me know. I got it from my 100 Years of Mormon Cookery cookbook! It turned out so lovely and is the best recipe I have used to make salt dough.

Making and squishing crabby pattys! We have sure had fun playing with play dough!

I want to add a new little thing to my blog. How I decide to format or do so will have to be another post. I want to put the funny things Charlie says in my blog......sense this is how I keep my family journal this is where I will be posting things!

The other day we were running errands and stopped to have lunch at Pizza Factory. Lately Charlie has been picking his nose and yes doing the thing that all Mother's dread; eating the buried treasure! Were do kids learn this????? I have been trying to teach him that it is impolite and will make his tummy sick. So as we were in a public area he started doing this and I went into my motherly spill of why we don't do this.
He looked up at me with a look of Mother you are so clueless and said "Mom it is food from my nose!" (so matter of fact) Oh yes like that makes it better, but it caught me off guard and yes I had to laugh!

Play Group
Charlie and Hannah

Charlie, Parker and Hannah. The kids were building temples today! Building temples is what Charlie spends most of his time doing. If you give this kido blocks he will build you a temple. I think it is so cool he loves temples at such a young age!

Miss Rachel. I got to hold this sweet baby during play group and she feel asleep in my arms. It was so fun to snuggle a little baby. Made me way baby crazy!

Rachel and Alex. Rachel is five months and Alex is a year old March 21st!

Ok, so when you get a reality check. I call Charlie my baby all the time and still think he is so little and what have you. Then I take a picture of him next to a baby and I realize that my baby is a little boy! When did this happen? lol

Charlie and what he calls his snuggle time with Grandma

Charlie loves to snuggle with Grandma; of course that is one of the many things Grandma's do best! Steven joins in; he must have felt left out! Mom's two babies! So if I compare Charlie to Steven.....Charlie is definitely still a baby.

Clark Planetarium

A trip to Salt Lake and a visit to the
Clark Planetarium

We went and saw this Under the Sea 3D! It was the best 3D show I have been to. Charlie was so funny he was a little wigged out by the illusion the glasses created. He was always trying to touch the fish. Finally he got feed up with it and refused to wear the glasses for the remainder of the show. At least this time he even put them on; the last show we went to he did not want the glasses!

Make'n power

The Pendulum; quite hypnotic.
Steven with his head in the stars!

I own Uranus.......It is mine! Laugh if you want to!

Oh he is so adorable even on Mars Two little Martians

Charlie's first walk on the moon!

Here I am pointing to Cabo Verde on a really big globe!

dead sexy baby you know it

Charlie loves riding in Grandma's new yellow Dodge Ram! Can you blame him!

Beautiful Draper temple...still having it's open house. We took a detour on our way home from Salt Lake and drove to the temple and then over the mountain into Alpine. We had such a fun outing today!

Lovely isn't it!!! Well this is what you get when you follow the steps....speaking of steps these lovely shoes I am holding are the sandals I wore everyday on my mission in Africa! They were the best shoes; they were so comfortable and held up very well considering everyday I walked form 9 in the morning until 9 at night. We rarely went anywhere that we did not walk to get to our destination. These shoes had sole!
The sandals were so dirty, (well lets just say I did not walk in the cleanest of places)...... Alas, I took a picture of me holding them and then threw them away. So long dependable and sturdy sandals, I shall never forget you!
