Jessica's Grave Stone
This was the perfect birthday present for Mom! We have been waiting for months to get Jessica's grave set. We went to Walker's Monument yesterday to ask them when the grave would be set. The receptionist got all excited and exclaimed it was done today!!!
It took a while for us to approve the graphic design of the stone. Finally I spent a few hours one day with the gentleman that owns the business and we worked together to design the stone.
It was important there were daisies because that was her favorite flower. So we have a daisy chain. The dove represents two things. First; doves are very special in our family and are always present during important events. Second; at Jessica's funeral service we released 27 beautiful white doves. The writing looks just like how Jessica singed her name and so this was an automatic favorite script and so perfect for her grave. The granite is called a Vermont grey. We wanted the stone to be vertical instead of the typical horizontal. It stands out!
We are very pleased with the results and are so extremely glad that she has a grave finally. We worried they would not get her grave before the snow came and we would not be able to find where she was. So Yippy Skippy, it is there!!!!
The next thing is we get to plant a tree in her honor by her grave. Something that turns very yellow in the Autumn and will live a long time!!!! We are leaning towards some type of maple, but it is still undecided.

Looks beautiful. Daisies are my favorite flower too--bright, happy, unassuming . . .
